Prior to attending law school, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University, where I majored in international development studies with a minor in law and society. Studying international development was an invaluable academic experience, as it provided me with the opportunity to learn about advocacy, social equity, and politics within a larger global context. However, during my degree I realized that I was more interested in local social justice issues, and in law I saw an imperfect but effective tool for positive social change at the community level. After taking an introductory law course I was sold, and decided to set sail for the University of Victoria Faculty of Law.

At law school, I volunteered for the legal advocacy program at the MS Society of Canada, where I interviewed clients living with MS and helped them obtain employment disability benefits. During summers off I worked as a student at a prominent plaintiff personal injury firm in Toronto. These experiences further solidified my interest in law, and I’m delighted to be able to article at a socially conscious law firm that reflects my interests and values.

Outside of the office, I enjoy listening to podcasts, skiing, traveling (in the pre covid era), eating snacks, and cuddling with my dog Frank.
