September 30^th, 2021, was the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Ontario. Since then, Canadians continue to pay tribute to the children who didn’t return to their homes and those who survived residential school trauma. Additionally, affected families and communities are remembered as part of the reconciliation process.

 

Our office will be closed on September 30, 2024, so that we can educate ourselves about this day and how the history of mistreatment still continues to distress indigenous communities across Canada. More information about National Day for Truth and Reconciliation can be found here.
