Full event description from CHF Canada:

12:30 pm – 2:00 pm EDT

Goal:

Explore best practices in housing co-ops during this Covid 19 pandemic from 3 perspectives:

  • Public Health perspective
  • Legal perspective
  • Insurance perspective

We recognize that we won’t be able to answer specific questions such as when the vaccine will be ready, whether there will be a second wave and if so, when?

We will address the challenges we face in our operations while respecting the public health recommendations, following the legal requirements and moderating the risk from an insurance perspective including members’ meetings and the delivery of member services.

Panelists:

  • Erin Henry, Public Health Agency of Canada
  • Celia Chandler, Lawyer Iler Campbell Law Firm
  • Karen Rhind, AVP Federated Agencies – The Co-operators

Agenda for the event:

12:30 – 1:00 pm Virtual doors open, orientation, technical support, chat room open
1:00 – 1:30 pm Each panelist makes a short presentation (5-10 minutes)
1:30 – 2:00 pm Question period.  Note that we will invite participants to send questions in advance. If time permits, we will answer live questions.

We invite you to send any questions that you would like to be answered during the session by September 11 to: [email protected]

If you have any technical problems in registering, please contact Sarah Pashaii at [email protected].
