Mari Hiramoto, Law Clerk

I’m a litigation law clerk at Iler Campbell. My day-to-day work involves assisting lawyers with preparing court documents, managing court filings, and supporting corporate and real estate matters. I’m also the firm’s event photographer!

I’m originally from Japan, and during my university years, I spent my summers travelling around the world as a travel guidebook photographer. Those four exciting years, and the adventures beyond the Far East, opened my eyes and sparked a lifelong curiosity to see and experience more.

After graduating from Japan Women’s University in Tokyo, where I majored in economics and studied business, accounting, and gender studies, I moved to Canada in 2017. Coming from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, I quickly fell in love with Toronto’s diverse culture and the warmth of its people, and decided to make it my home.

Before joining Iler Campbell in 2023, I worked as a legal assistant for an immigration consultant and in real estate marketing. I initially started at Iler Campbell as a legal assistant, focusing on the administrative side of the firm. Since then, I’ve learned so much and have found it exciting and rewarding to take on new challenges as I continue to grow in my role.

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors hiking in nature and playing board games with friends.
